Die Societe Generale hat ein Open End Indexzertifikat auf den SGI Global Agriculture Index aufgelegt. In diesem Index befinden sich Saatguthersteller, Dügngemittelhersteller, Pflanzenschutzmittelhersteller, Traktorenhersteller, Mähmschinenhersteller, Vieh-Unternehmen und sonstige Vertreter der Agrarrohstoffe.

Die grössten Positionen haben zur Zeit mit jeweils 10 Prozent der Landmaschinenhersteller Deere, der Düngemittelproduzent Potash und der Saatgutkonzern Monsanto.

Angesichts steigender Preise für Lebensmittel könnte dies langfristig ein gutes Investment sein.
